Manson Sub Area Group Adopts Urban Growth Area
At last night’s meeting, the Manson Sub Area Group adopted a recommendation for an Urban Growth Area for the Manson Sub Area. The Manson Sub Area Group will eventually submit their recommendations to the Manson Community Council, after which it will go to the Chelan County Planning Commission and then to the Chelan County Commissioners for adoption. Public input may be provided at any of those points as well.
First, a group called The Resident’s Group (TRG) proposed an urban growth area that can be seen here. After a good deal of discussion, a motion was put forward to adopt a UGA that was based on the sewer service area. At this point, I am still not sure if that is the easily serviced areas, or existing connections or what. When a map of what this area may be is available, I will post it. It is similar to the TRG proposal, but may include other areas serviced by sewer. The dotted blue line is the sewer boundary understood by the TRG in the link above.
In other happenings, David Grimes has returned from active military service and will be supporting the project for Chelan County Planning.
The next meeting currently scheduled for the 16th of September at 6:00 p.m. will focus on land use and zoning proposals for this new UGA.
